Hours: 8:30am - 5:00pm (Monday - Friday)
About the Role:
Veritas Education is delighted to support a well-established and respected prep school in Southwark in their search for a passionate and dedicated Level 3 Early Years Teaching Assistant. This role will be based in the Nursery and Reception classes, where you will support the delivery of a nurturing, stimulating, and high-quality early years education.
As a Level 3 Teaching Assistant, you will play a pivotal role in helping young learners develop the foundation of their education and well-being. You will work closely with the class teacher and other staff to ensure that each child receives the care, support, and encouragement they need to thrive in their early education journey.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide day-to-day support to the class teacher in the delivery of engaging and age-appropriate lessons.
Work with small groups or one-on-one with children, supporting them with their learning, development, and social skills.
Assist in planning and preparing activities that stimulate learning and creativity.
Help with the delivery of the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) curriculum, ensuring the needs of each child are met.
Observe and monitor the children's progress, providing feedback where appropriate.
Promote a positive and inclusive learning environment that fosters curiosity and independence.
Assist with the daily care and wellbeing of the children, including snack times, outdoor play, and settling children in.
Support children with additional needs, adapting activities to cater to their individual learning styles.
The Ideal Candidate:
Level 3 Early Years Educator qualification (or equivalent).
Proven experience working in an early years setting, particularly in Nursery or Reception.
A genuine passion for working with young children and helping them develop and grow.
A warm, nurturing approach to care and learning.
Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively as part of a team.
A good understanding of the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) curriculum.
The ability to support children with diverse needs, including those with additional learning requirements.
An enhanced DBS check (or willingness to obtain one).
