Location: South Birmingham Hours: 9:00am – 3:00pm, Monday to Friday (Term Time Only) Start Date: Immediate start available Contract Type: Temporary, ongoing through TeacherActive Are you passionate about supporting young children in their earliest stages of learning? TeacherActive are proud to be working with a lovely Nursery School in South Birmingham, who are looking for a caring and reliable Early Years Teaching Assistant to join their dedicated team. This role is perfect for someone who enjoys hands-on, practical support and understands the importance of creating a positive start for every child. The Role: As a Domestic Assistant within the Early Years setting, you will play a vital role in the daily running of the nursery. Your responsibilities will include: Supporting children during lunchtime routines and snack times Assisting with personal care, including changing nappies and maintaining hygiene standards Helping to set up and tidy away learning and play areas Providing general classroom support to staff and children Promoting a safe, caring, and inclusive learning environment The Ideal Candidate: We’re looking for someone who: Has at least 6 months of experience working with children in the UK (Early Years preferred) Is comfortable with personal care and understands the needs of nursery-aged children Holds a Paediatric First Aid certificate (or is willing to obtain one) Holds a current DBS on the update service or is willing to apply for a new one Can provide two professional references from recent childcare-related roles Is reliable, proactive, and friendly with a genuine passion for supporting young learners Can commit to 9:00am – 3:00pm, Monday to Friday, during term time Why Join TeacherActive?
