Are you a nurturing, patient, and enthusiastic individual with a passion for supporting young learners? SANZA Teaching Agency is working some fantastic primary schools in Havering that are seeking early years teaching assistants to join their dedicated team.
These roles are ideal for candidates who have experience or a strong interest in working with children in the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS). These roles will include supporting students with additional needs (particularly those with Autism).
Your role will Include:
Supporting young children in nursery or reception with daily classroom activities
Providing 1:1 or small group support for children with Autism, helping them access the curriculum
Assisting with the development of communication, social, and emotional skills
Working closely with the class teacher and SENCO to implement tailored learning strategies
Supporting routines such as playtime, transitions, and sensory activities
Creating a calm, inclusive, and engaging environment where children feel safe and valued
Using visual aids, structured routines, and other strategies to meet individual needs
About you:
A caring and patient nature, with a genuine passion for early childhood development
Experience or understanding of Autism and how to support young children with additional needs
Strong communication skills and the ability to build trusting relationships with children, staff, and parents
A flexible and proactive approach to supporting learning and behaviour
The ability to promote independence, confidence, and a love for learning in every child
Knowledge of the early years framework and child development milestones is desirable
