Electrical Controls & Instrumentation – Power Generation

MC Technical Recruitment are currently recruiting for an Electrical Instrumentation & Controls (EC&I) Team Leader to join a major power generation business in Dublin. This role will form a key part of the maintenance team, ensuring the safe, efficient, and reliable operation of multiple generation stations.
As the EC&I Team Leader you will be responsible for:
Ensuring safety compliance through permits to work, setting to work, and risk assessments
Scheduling and coordinating planned and reactive maintenance activities
Supervising, building, and developing the Electrical, Instrumentation & Controls Team
Managing contractors, procurement of key services and components
Supporting projects and improvement initiatives including process safety and long-term asset planning
Carrying out hands-on electrical maintenance, fault-finding, testing, and commissioning
Maintaining accurate records via the computer maintenance management system
Preparing and reviewing task-specific method statements and risk assessments
To be considered for this role you should have:
5+ years’ experience in power generation (thermal, hydro, renewables) or heavy process industry with EI&C systems
FAS / SOLAS / Senior Trade electrical craft qualification or equivalent
Strong safety focus and leadership ability to drive a safety-first culture
Proven knowledge of HV/MV/LV systems and/or control & instrumentation equipment
Experience with electrical schematics, P&IDs, calibration, and test equipment
Good IT skills with MS Office and CMMS systems
Full driving licence
