ECCS Specialist Inspector - Electrical, Control & Cyber Security

Role Overview
Inspect major hazard installations to ensure compliance with safety laws.
Assess technical safety reports and identify risk gaps.
Investigate incidents involving industrial control systems.
Provide expert advice on functional safety and cyber security.
Act as an expert witness in legal proceedings when required.
Influence industry standards and contribute to national safety improvements.
What we're looking for
We need experienced engineers who can combine technical expertise with strong communication and decision-making skills. You'll be confident in influencing at all levels and passionate about improving safety standards.
Essential Requirements
Previous experience in a technical engineering role.
Strong communication and influencing skills.
Ability to produce clear technical reports and present complex information.
Experience in major hazard or COMAH environments.
Full UK driving licence (or alternative arrangements for disabilities).
Relevant degree in Electrical, Electronic, or Control Engineering.
Chartered status (or eligibility) with IET or equivalent.
Proven experience with process control and safety instrumented systems.
Knowledge of electrical equipment in explosive atmospheres and relevant standards (e.g., BS EN 61511, BS EN 60079).
