ECIA Engineer (Water Industry is a must) Location: Leicester Rate: Contract £40 - £50 per hour | Outside IR35 Initial Contract: 6 Months (Extension highly likely) Looking for your next ECIA contract without compromising on rate or technical challenge? An opportunity has arisen for an experienced ECIA Engineer to join a contract project in Leicester, offering £40 - £50 per hour Outside IR35. If you're coming towards the end of a contract, or you're open to a role that gives you a new technical challenge, this could be worth a conversation. The role As an ECIA Engineer, you'll play an important role in supporting the delivery of electrical, control and instrumentation engineering activities throughout the project. Your responsibilities are likely to include: Supporting the delivery and coordination of ECIA engineering activities across the project. Reviewing electrical, control and instrumentation requirements and ensuring engineering activities are delivered in line with the required standards. Providing technical input into ECIA design, installation, testing and commissioning activities. Working closely with engineering, project and site teams to coordinate ECIA requirements and resolve technical issues. Reviewing engineering documentation, drawings and technical information to identify requirements, interfaces and potential issues. Supporting the identification and resolution of electrical, control and instrumentation problems during project delivery. Liaising with contractors, suppliers and other engineering disciplines to ensure ECIA activities are properly coordinated. Monitoring progress of ECIA work and providing technical support where required to keep activities on programme. Ensuring ECIA activities are carried out in accordance with relevant health, safety, quality and engineering standards. Contributing to testing, inspection and commissioning activities where required. Supporting the handover of ECIA documentation and ensuring technical information is accurately captured. Providing practical engineering input to improve delivery, resolve problems and keep the project moving. What you'll bring You'll be an experienced ECIA / Electrical, Control & Instrumentation Engineer with the technical knowledge and practical experience to operate effectively within a project environment. You'll ideally be comfortable with: ECIA engineering and project delivery Electrical engineering principles Control and instrumentation systems Technical drawings and engineering documentation Working with multidisciplinary engineering and project teams Identifying and resolving technical issues Supporting installation, testing and commissioning activities Working to engineering, quality and safety standards What's in it for you? £40 - £50 per hour gives you a competitive contracting rate, while the Outside IR35 status provides the contracting structure many experienced professionals are looking for.
