Consultant Ecologist
Location: Derby
Salary: £30,000 - £35,000
Full time/permanent
About the role:
I am keen to speak with Ecologists, with 2-3 years’ experience, who are on the lookout for their next challenge, to join a growing environmental team in Derby. This role offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to a diverse range of projects, from habitat assessments, BNG planning and conservation strategies.
Responsibilities
* Conduct ecological surveys (e.g., protected species – Bat, GCN)
* Assist with mitigation & BNG strategies
* Preparation of technical reports
* Support project delivery from initial site assessment, through to completion
Requirements:
* Relevant degree e.g. Ecology, Zoology, Environmental Science
* Ideally 2+ years consultancy experience
* FISC (Field Identification Skills Certificate)
* Knowledge of UK wildlife legislation
* Experience in authoring ecology reports and habitat condition assessments
* Full UK driving license
* Ability to work independently and as part of a team
This role comes with:
* Salary between £30,000 £35,000 (dependant on experience)
* 22 days’ holidays, plus bank holidays
* 37.5 hours working week
