Key Responsibilities:
Conducting field surveys in diverse landscapes with a focus on protected species and habitats.
Preparing detailed technical reports, such as Preliminary Ecological Appraisals (PEAs), Ecological Impact Assessments (EcIAs), and Habitat Regulations Assessments (HRAs).
Designing and implementing mitigation strategies that integrate ecological needs with development goals.
Providing expert advice and ecological input to clients, planners, and other stakeholders.
The ideal candidate will have:
A degree in ecology, environmental science, or a related field.
Solid understanding of ecological principles, UK wildlife legislation, and best practices.
Experience in field survey techniques and ecological data analysis.
Membership or eligibility for membership of the Chartered Institute of Ecology and Environmental Management (CIEEM).
Protected species licences (e.g., bats, great crested newts) are highly desirable.
Full UK driving licence to support travel to fieldwork locations.
