Job Description

Environmental Clerk of Works Location: South Wales or South West England Salary: £35,000 – £50,000 (dependent on experience and qualifications) 20% inflated salary - INCLUDES A LOT OF RAIL WORK Contract Type: Permanent, Full-time Ocean to Earth Recruitment is working on behalf of a well-established environmental consultancy to recruit an Ecologist who has Environmental Clerk of Works experience to join their growing team in South Wales and the South West. This is a great opportunity to join a friendly and supportive company working on a range of infrastructure and construction projects across the region. About the Role: The successful candidate will play a key role in the Ecology and ECoW team, working closely with contractors and other environmental specialists. The position is primarily site-based and offers excellent scope for career progression and training within a multi-disciplinary team. Key Responsibilities: * ECoW * Ecological surveys and mitigation * Requirements: * At least 3 years’ experience in a similar, site-based environmental role * Experience working on construction or infrastructure projects * Full UK driving licence and CSCS card * Good communication and IT skills (Office 365) * Professional membership (e.g. CIEEM) Desirable: * Degree in Environmental Science, Ecology, Engineering, or related subject * Protected species licences (preferred but not essential) Benefits: * 25 days annual leave, rising with service * Birthday day off * 2 additional paid volunteering days per year * Pension scheme * Health insurance * Support for professional memberships * Ongoing training and development If you are looking for a new challenge in a varied and rewarding role, we’d love to hear from you
