EDM/WIRE EDM OPERATOR 

THIS IS AN INTERESTING POSTION WORKING FOR A REPUTALBE COMPANY OFFERING A BESPOKE EDM/WIRE SERVICE WITHIN THE AEROSPACE/GENERAL ENGINEERING INDUSTRY.

MUST HAVE EXCELLENT EXPERIENCE WITHIN AN EDM/WIRE EDM ENVIRONMENT AND RELIABLE WITH FULL COMPETENCE IN THIS SECTOR OF EDM/SPARK/WIRE EROSION.

WE ARE A SMALL TEAM OF SKILLED ENGINEERS THAT WORK CLOSELY TOGETHER.

CORE SKILLS:

GOOD KNOWLEDGE SETTING PARTS USING CLOCK

2D CAD EXPERIENCE ALTHOUGH TRAINING WILL BE GIVEN

ABILITY TO READ AND INTERPRET ENGINEERING DRAWINGS THEN TRANSLATING TO SETTING UP PARTS ON MACHINES IS A NECESSITY

ABILITY TO PROGRAMME, SET AND OPERATE VARIOUS EDM/WIRE MACHINES

PROFICIENT IN WORKING TO TIGHT LIMITS/TOLERANCES AND FINISHES WITH A HIGH LEVEL OF ACCURACY AND ATTENTION TO DETAIL

BEING CAPABLE IN SHOP FLOOR MEASURING EQUIPMENT

EXCELLENT AWARENESS OF HEALTH AND SAFETY ASPECTS AT WORK

WORK WELL UNDER PRESSURE AS VERY BUSY SECTIONS

EXPERIENCE USING:

AGIE CHARMILLES FAST HOLE DRILL

AGIE CHARMILLES FORM 30

AGIE CARMILLES SINK MACHINES

ONA MACHINES

SODICK WIRE EDM

SALARY NEGOTIABLE DEPENDING ON SKILL LEVEL

HOURS OF WORK

MON – THURS 6.45 TO 4.00  

FRI 6.45AM – 11.45AM

OVERTIME AS AND WHEN REQUIRED @ TIME 1/3, WEEKENDS TIME 1/2

26 DAYS HOLIDAY + BANK HOLIDAY
