Medway Council is seeking five experienced Education Health and Care (EHC) Coordinators to join our SEND and Inclusion Service on a permanent basis.
💰 Salary: £31,283 - £37,181 per annum
📍 Location: Hybrid – Gun Wharf Office + Medway Hubs (3 days/week)
📅 Contract: Permanent
About the Role: As an EHC Coordinator, you will manage the full lifecycle of Education, Health and Care Plans (EHCPs) for young people aged 0-25. You’ll work collaboratively with families, schools, and professionals to ensure every plan is tailored, outcome-focused, and fully compliant with statutory requirements.
Key Responsibilities:
Manage and review EHCPs in line with legal and policy frameworks
Act as the main point of contact for families and professionals
Work closely with education, health, and social care providers
Ensure compliance with the Children and Families Act 2014 and SEND Code of Practice (2015)
Maintain accurate records and support continuous service improvementWhat We’re Looking For: ✅ Previous local authority casework experience is essential
✅ Strong knowledge of both pre-14 and post-14 education pathways
✅ Proven experience managing EHCPs and navigating statutory processes
✅ Excellent communication, organisation, and stakeholder management skills
