Teaching Assistant – SEN School (St Albans) Empower young lives. Build a meaningful career in special education. A highly respected SEN school in St Albans is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Teaching Assistant to join their team, supporting pupils aged 2–19 with Profound and Severe Learning Difficulties (PMLD & SLD). Your Role Will Include: Supporting pupils with SEN during lessons, break times, and enrichment activities Assisting the class teacher with tailored learning plans and classroom routines Creating a safe, inclusive, and engaging learning environment Providing one-to-one and small group support Helping maintain classroom resources and equipment What We’re Looking For: Experience or strong training in SEN, PMLD, or SLD settings A patient, empathetic, and resilient approach to learning support A genuine passion for inclusive education and child development Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team Previous experience working with children with additional needs is highly desirable What You’ll Gain: Sociable hours: 8:30am–3:30pm, Monday to Friday (no weekends!)
