Role Overview
We are seeking an experienced and qualified Educational Psychologist to join Wolverhampton City Council on a locum basis. The successful candidate will provide psychological services to support children and young people, working collaboratively with schools, families, and other professionals to promote positive educational outcomes.
Key Responsibilities
Conduct psychological assessments and provide evidence-based interventions for children and young people.
Work closely with schools, parents, and multi-agency teams to develop strategies that support learning and emotional well-being.
Prepare detailed reports and recommendations based on assessments and observations.
Deliver consultations and training sessions to educational staff and stakeholders.
Ensure compliance with statutory requirements and local authority policies.
Travel across Wolverhampton for face-to-face visits (driving essential).
Requirements
HCPC registration as an Educational Psychologist.
Proven experience in educational psychology within a local authority or similar setting.
Strong knowledge of SEND legislation and best practices.
Excellent communication and report-writing skills.
Ability to work independently and manage a varied caseload.
Full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle.
