I am currently representing Enfield Council who are offering a permanent position for the right candidate.
We are looking for a Educational Psychologist this role will be based at: Enfield Civic Centre, EN1 3ES, Hybrid Working.
Base Salary: £58,082.00
Top Point Salary: £68,529.00
Soulbury Scale A 5 - 10 (+ up to 3 SPAs). Previously awarded SPA points will be honoured. Plus Outer London Allowance.
The right candidate will:
Educational Psychologists (EPs) work at various levels in the local area and apply psychology to promote the inclusion and improve the outcomes of children and young people with SEND (including emotional wellbeing and mental health). The service promotes a consultation model aligned with the SEND Code of Practice Assess Plan Do Review process across schools and settings.
Enfield EPS emphasises the development of leadership skills for EPs at all career stages, and offers all EPs a rewarding range of work.
* Contribute to the successful delivery of the Educational Psychology Service according to an agreed allocation model, based on the post holder’s work pattern.
* Provide psychological consultation, assessment and interventions that improve educational outcomes and life chances for children and young people.
* Contribute to the multi-agency graduated response in relation to requests for educational psychology involvement for children and young people at SEN Support.
* Provide statutory advice towards Education, Health and Care Needs Assessments in line with service standards and working to statutory time frames.
* Contribute to the development of the EPS through engaging in the service’s CPD programme, workstreams and interest groups and research.
* Support workforce development through training, consultation and implementation support for staff in educational settings.
* Support the delivery of EPS-led initiatives and work within local area multi-disciplinary teams to deliver the agreed aims and outcomes.
We require the following:
* Professional EP qualification obtained from a recognised training course, and conferring registration with the Health and Care Professions Council. Candidates must either already hold HCPC registration, or anticipate applying for HCPC registration in the case of Trainee EPs in Years 2 or 3 of the doctorate training courses.
* Successful experience as either a qualified Educational Psychologist and/or a trainee EP on placement in the public sector.
* Understanding and application of the psychological evidence-base in relation to individual casework, change and organisations.
