Job Description

Locum Educational Psychologist – Northumberland Council (Face-to-Face Delivery) Outside IR35 | £1,200 – £1,250 per completed assessment | Up to 5 assessments per month We are seeking experienced HCPC-registered Educational Psychologists to support Northumberland Council with the completion of statutory Education, Health and Care Needs Assessments (EHCNAs) on a face-to-face basis. This project offers flexible, manageable caseloads with a clear focus on high-quality psychological advice, direct engagement with children and young people, and meaningful collaboration with schools and families. What’s on offer £1,200 – £1,250 per completed assessment (Outside IR35) Up to 5 assessments per month – consistent and sustainable workload All work carried out in person within Northumberland Access to our dedicated administrative and QA support team Streamlined onboarding, compliance and scheduling support Full autonomy over diary and workload management Requirements HCPC registration as an Educational Psychologist Enhanced DBS (Update Service preferred) Proven experience delivering statutory EHCP assessments Ability to travel within Northumberland for in-person work Strong report writing and psychological formulation skills About the project This opportunity sits within a collaborative initiative between Leaders in Care – Educational Psychology Division and Northumberland Council, designed to ensure timely, high-quality completion of statutory assessments across the region.
