EHS Lead - Engineering & Construction
Location: Co. Tipperary | Travel to project sites required
Full-Time | Salary: €50,000-€70,000 DOE | Company van
Are you passionate about creating a safe, proactive working environment? We're looking for an experienced EHS Lead to shape and implement a world-class safety strategy within a growing engineering and construction business. This is a fantastic opportunity for a hands-on health & safety professional to take ownership of environmental, health and safety systems and lead the development of a positive safety culture across multiple sites.
Key Responsibilities
Compliance & IMS
Lead the company's Integrated Management System (IMS)
Ensure all EHS policies comply with legislation and ISO standards
Develop and implement Site-Specific Construction EHS Plans
Risk Management
Identify and control all High-Risk Activities (HRAs)
Create and maintain Risk Assessments and Method Statements (RAMS)
Training & Culture
Develop and deliver SOPs, toolbox talks, and weekly safety communications
Promote a proactive safety-first culture through coaching and mentoring
Incident & Inspection
Lead incident investigations and manage corrective actions
Schedule and document statutory inspections using SharePoint
Continuous Improvement
Maintain ISO certifications and EHS documentation
Support projects with health and safety insights and documentation
What You'll Need
Diploma or Degree in Occupational Health & Safety (NEBOSH or equivalent)
3-5 years of experience in an EHS role (engineering/construction preferred)
Strong communication and collaboration skills
Proficiency with MS Office and SharePoint
Ability to work independently and lead by example
Flexibility to travel to project sites
Coaching and mentoring experience a plus
