We are seeking an experienced Environmental Health and Safety Manager (EHS Manager) to lead safety compliance and promote a world-class safety culture across our client's operations at their brand-new, state-of-the-art distribution facility in Birmingham. This role is pivotal in ensuring a safe working environment, delivering training, and driving continuous improvement in health and safety standards.

Description
The EHS Manager will:
Implement and monitor statutory safety, fire, and environmental regulations across the site.
Oversee risk management strategies and support operational teams to achieve zero accidents.
Conduct inspections and audits to ensure compliance with safety standards and RTITB accreditation.
Develop and revise safety procedures, reporting on performance and recommending improvements.
Investigate incidents and dangerous occurrences, identifying root causes and corrective actions.
Deliver training programs, including manual handling and safety passport updates.
Maintain accurate documentation and report on quality metrics to ensure compliance.
Collaborate with internal teams and external partners to foster a strong safety culture.Profile
A successful EHS Manager should have:
Minimum 3 year's experience in a Health & Safety role.
National NEBOSH Certificate and strong knowledge of EHS management systems.
A hands-on and adaptable approach to implementing processes.
Proven ability as a self-starter to lead and influence in a fast-paced operational setting.
Excellent organisational skills, attention to detail, and problem-solving capability.
Strong communication and relationship-building skills across all levels.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office 365 and warehouse management systems.
Willingness to travel to other sites within the UK when required.
A background in Logistics Distribution and Supply Chain, or FMCG/Pharmaceuticals.
BREEAM accreditation knowledge (desirable).Job Offer
