Hays Health & Safety are excited to be working with a leading global manufacturer with a strong presence in North Wales to find an experienced EHS Manager to join their expanding site. The Role
As the EHS Manager, you will lead a team responsible for driving a proactive safety culture and ensuring compliance with all relevant legislation and internal standards. You'll play a key role in shaping the site's strategic approach to health, safety, and environmental performance, while also supporting employee wellbeing through occupational health initiatives.
Key Responsibilities
Lead and develop the EHS and OH team to deliver site-wide initiatives
Ensure compliance with UK legislation, corporate policies, and ISO14001 standards
Act as the site lead for audits, inspections, and emergency response planning
Promote a culture of continuous improvement through training, engagement, and performance tracking
Collaborate with Occupational Health professionals to support employee health and wellbeing
Represent the site in global forums and liaise with external regulatory bodies
What you'll need to succeed
Proven experience leading an EHS team in a similar role to achieve success
Background in pharmaceutical or chemical sectors preferred; Food and FMCG will be considered
Strong working knowledge of UK EHS legislation and best practices
Experience implementing and managing ISO14001 or equivalent systems
