Electrical Subcontractor – Domestic EICR & Remedial Work
Intro:
Join a growing national team as a Subcontract Electrical Engineer, carrying out Domestic EICRs and Remedial Works. Perfect for self-employed electricians looking to fill their diary with flexible, well-paid work. Jobs are allocated via CRM — simply accept, contact the customer, and book in directly.
Location: Nationwide (Local to stated area)
Hours: Flexible (you manage your own diary)
Contract: Subcontract (Self-employed)
Reporting To: Electrical Operations Team
About the Role
We’re looking for qualified electricians to complete Domestic EICRs and Remedial Works on a subcontract basis. Work is flexible, steady, and fully supported via our central CRM system. Once you accept a job, you’ll liaise directly with the customer to arrange your visit. You’ll be paid per job, not per hour — offering excellent earning potential for efficient, competent engineers.
Rates
• Domestic EICR: £85 – £100 per property (based on size/scope)
- 1 fuseboard / 10 circuits included
- Additional circuits above 10: £10 per circuit
• EICR Remedials: Paid via a Schedule of Rates (shared with your team)
• Boiler Wire-Ups: £80 per wire-up
- Up to 5 per day available (£400/day potential)
- Particularly high demand in Liverpool / Manchester area
Required
• Current DBS Check
• Right to Work in the UK
• Public Liability Insurance
• Electrical Registration: NICEIC / NAPIT / SELECT
• Relevant Electrical Qualifications
• Competent with Boiler Wiring / Smart Heating Controls
Desirable (Not Mandatory)
• Domestic & Commercial PAT Testing
• Commercial EICRs
• Commercial Emergency Lighting
• Fire Alarm Condition Reports
• EV Charger Installation
• Solar PV Installation
