About the role:
As an Apprenticeship Skills Tutor, you'll be a vital link between learners, employers, and curriculum staff. You will coach, support and guide electrical apprentices in their workplace throughout their training programme—ensuring timely progress, quality evidence, and readiness for End Point Assessment (EPA).
Key responsibilities include:
* Supporting apprentices in building knowledge, skills and behaviours aligned to electrical frameworks
* Conducting quarterly workplace visits and regular contact to review and document learner progress
* Coordinating tripartite reviews with employers and apprentices
* Ensuring compliance with OneFile e-portfolio updates and progress tracking
* Promoting safe working, safeguarding, equality, diversity, and British Values in every placement
* Advising and supporting employers in meeting their training obligations
* Delivering coaching on EPA readiness, functional skills, and qualification prep
* Managing your diary effectively to support a caseload of learners
* Maintaining accurate records, reports, and documentation in line with quality standards
* This is a field-based role requiring frequent travel to apprentice workplaces. A full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle are essential. Occasional evening work may be required.
About you:
* Electrical Level 3 qualification (or higher)
* Assessing qualification (A1, D32/D33, or TAQA)
* Teaching or coaching experience with apprentices in a workplace setting
* Maths and English Level 2 or above
* Experience using e-portfolios (OneFile desirable)
* Strong communication, organisation, and time management skills
* Knowledge of Apprenticeship Standards and Work-Based Learning practices
* Passion for supporting learners and helping them succeed
* Able to work flexibly, independently and with professionalism
