Job Description
Our client is a leading manufacturer within the engineering sector, known for designing and producing high-quality machinery and automated systems for a range of industrial applications. Due to continued growth, they are seeking an experienced Electrical Fitter / Assembler to join their friendly and skilled production team.
Key Responsibilities
*
Assemble and wire electrical control boxes and panels from engineering drawings.
*
Read and interpret mechanical layout drawings accurately.
*
Use a variety of workshop tools including disc cutters, pillar drills, DIN rail cutters, stud guns, handheld drills, and hole punches.
*
Lay out and assemble backplates and enclosures to specification.
*
Assemble pneumatic components and circuits as required.
*
Provide mechanical support to electrical assembly operators.
*
Carry out quality control checks and contribute to continuous improvement.
*
Maintain a tidy, organised workspace and manage workload effectively.
Key Requirements
*
Previous experience in a manufacturing or engineering environment.
*
Skilled in control panel and machinery assembly.
*
Confident in drilling, tapping, and hole punching steel.
*
Good working knowledge of electrical components.
*
Excellent attention to detail, problem-solving, and time management skills.
*
Must have own hand tools (e.g. screwdrivers, spanners, socket set, etc.)Before You Apply
