Job title: Electrical Assembler Job location: Plymouth Shifts: Days Mon - Thru 8:00-4:30 Fri 8:00 - 13:00 Hours per week: 37 hours per week Rates: £12.99 PAYE / £16.72 Umbrella Duration: On Going Start date: ASAP Company Summary: They are a global leader in Rolling Stock vehicle manufacturing, service and maintenance. Position Summary As an Electrical Assembler, you'll play a key role in producing high-quality electrical components and systems. You'll use a variety of tools, equipment, and production processes to assemble and test parts while maintaining strict compliance with company and regulatory safety, quality, and environmental standards. General duties may include * Carry out assembly work using hand tools, small machines, jigs, fixtures, soldering and crimping tools, and production instruments. * Follow all company quality, health & safety, and environmental procedures to ensure safe and efficient operations. * Maintain a clean, safe, and organized workspace through regular housekeeping and proper use of equipment. * Actively contribute to APSYS and continuous improvement initiatives across the production area. * Support team performance and flexibility to achieve production targets and deadlines. Typical tasks may include * Coil winding and sealing * Loom preparation (wiring, crimping, wire-stripping) * Assembly and soldering of printed circuit boards (PCBs) * Rack and cubicle assembly and wiring * Conformal coating of PCBs * Operation of encapsulation machines and use of Slygard materials * Use of solder bath and painting equipment * Mechanical assembly of products using torque tools * Routine cleaning and maintenance of work areas * Participation in improvement projects and activities Person Profile/Experience: * Hands-on experience in a production or assembly environment * Ability to read and interpret assembly drawings, simple wiring diagrams, and schedules * Strong manual dexterity and attention to detail * Competent in interpreting and following production documentation * Flexible team player with a proactive approach to achieving team goals Contact Information: Email: (url removed) Phone: (phone number removed) PLEASE NOTE ALL APPLICANTS MUST BE ABLE TO PASS A DRUGS AND ALCOHOL TEST BEFORE BEING OFFERED A POSITION.
