Electrical Authorised Person - Severn Trent Water
📍 Location: Various Sites Across Yorkshire Water
🕒 Employment Type: Full-Time, Permanent or Contract

Severn Trent Water, a leading name in the UK utilities sector, is seeking a qualified and experienced Electrical Authorised Person (AP) to support the safe delivery of electrical works across its operational sites. This is a key role ensuring compliance, safety, and operational excellence across a wide range of water and wastewater assets.
🔧 Key Responsibilities:
Act as the Authorised Person for electrical systems, ensuring all works are carried out in accordance with Severn Trent's safety rules and procedures
Issue and manage Permits to Work, switching schedules, and isolation procedures
Oversee and support electrical maintenance, installation, and commissioning activities
Liaise with contractors, engineers, and site teams to ensure safe and efficient project delivery
Maintain accurate records and documentation in line with regulatory and company standards
✅ Requirements:
Recognised electrical qualifications (e.g., NVQ Level 3, HNC, or equivalent)
Current 18th Edition Wiring Regulations (BS7671)
Previous experience as an Authorised Person in a utilities or industrial environment
Strong understanding of electrical safety rules, isolation procedures, and permit systems
Excellent communication and organisational skills
Full UK driving licence
