Job Description
Join a leading international engineering and construction firm, delivering high-specification electrical and commissioning services across mission-critical sectors including data centres, pharmaceuticals, and industrial infrastructure. This organisation partners with global clients on cutting-edge developments throughout Europe.
They are seeking an Electrical Commissioning Engineer to join the delivery team on a major data centre project based in Slough.
Key Responsibilities
*
Commission and validate low and medium voltage electrical systems: switchgear, UPS, generators, and power distribution.
*
Develop and execute commissioning plans and test protocols in line with client and regulatory standards.
*
Collaborate with site and construction teams to ensure readiness and quality of installations.
*
Conduct functional testing (FAT/SAT), integrated systems testing (IST), and handover documentation.
*
Troubleshoot and resolve electrical issues during commissioning.
*
Maintain accurate records, redline drawings, and commissioning logs.
*
Adhere to strict safety, compliance, and quality assurance protocols.
Requirements
*
Degree or diploma in Electrical Engineering (or similar technical qualification).
*
3–5+ years’ commissioning experience on large-scale industrial or mission-critical projects.
*
Strong understanding of LV/MV systems and associated commissioning workflows.
*
Familiarity with industry standards such as ASHRAE, IST commissioning levels, and local UK regulations.
*
Excellent coordination and communication skills, especially in multi-disciplinary environments.
*
Valid right to work in the UK.
*
Experience working with hyperscale clients (AWS, Google, Meta, etc.).
*
Certifications such as IOSH, NEBOSH, or other HSEQ qualifications.
*
Working knowledge of digital commissioning tools and test documentation platforms.
