Electrical Construction Manager Opportunity – Tier 1 Main Contractor - Cambridge

A leading Tier 1 Main Contractor is seeking an experienced Electrical Construction Manager to join their team on a major commercial development in Cambridge. This is a flagship project offering the opportunity to play a key role in delivering the electrical package from initial stages through to completion.

The Role:

As Electrical Construction Manager, you will take responsibility for the successful delivery of the electrical works on site, ensuring they are completed safely, on time, and to the highest standard.

Key responsibilities include:

  * Installation Oversight – Managing day-to-day electrical works on site, ensuring quality and programme targets are met

  * Coordination – Working closely with MEP teams, subcontractors, and site management to ensure seamless integration of services

  * Programme Management – Monitoring progress and driving works to meet key project milestones

  * Health & Safety – Ensuring all electrical works are carried out in line with current regulations and site safety standards

  * Quality Assurance – Overseeing inspections and ensuring works meet required specifications

  * Logistics & Planning – Coordinating labour, materials, and site activities efficiently

  * Commissioning Support – Assisting with testing, commissioning, and system validation

  * Handover – Supporting the smooth completion and client handover of the electrical package

The Candidate:

  * Proven experience as an Electrical Construction Manager or Senior Electrical Supervisor on large-scale commercial projects

  * Strong electrical background with relevant qualifications

  * Experience delivering projects on site from installation through to commissioning and handover

  * Excellent organisational and leadership skills

  * Experience working with Tier 1 contractors or major MEP subcontractors preferred
