Job Title: Electrical Contracts Manager
Location: Camden, London (Head Office)

The Opportunity

We are working with a highly regarded Mechanical & Electrical contractor to appoint an experienced Electrical Contracts Manager to join their leadership team at their Camden head office. This is a pivotal role within a growing business known for delivering prestigious commercial, industrial, and high-end residential projects across London.

You will take ownership of multiple high-value electrical packages, working with leading main contractors and discerning private clients, ensuring projects are delivered to the highest standards from pre-contract stage through to final handover.

Key Responsibilities

Project Leadership

  * 

    Manage the full lifecycle of electrical projects, from tender/pre-construction through to completion and final account

  * 

    Ensure all works comply with specifications, drawings, and current regulations including BS 7671

Operational Management

  * 

    Oversee multiple projects simultaneously, ensuring delivery on time, within budget, and to a high-quality finish

  * 

    Develop and maintain detailed project programmes and resource plans

Site & Team Supervision

  * 

    Lead and coordinate site teams, subcontractors, and electrical operatives

  * 

    Conduct site visits, manage inductions, and issue permits to work

Commercial Control

  * 

    Take responsibility for financial performance across projects

  * 

    Manage procurement, subcontractor packages (including JCT/NEC contracts), and variations

  * 

    Provide technical input and support to commercial teams

Client Liaison

  * 

    Act as the primary point of contact for clients and key stakeholders

  * 

    Chair progress meetings and provide regular project updates

  * 

    Build and maintain strong client relationships

Health & Safety

  * 

    Champion a proactive health & safety culture

  * 

    Ensure compliance with all H&S policies, procedures, and legislation

Requirements

  * 

    Minimum 3–5 years’ experience in an Electrical Project Manager or Contracts Manager role within the M&E sector

  * 

    Proven track record delivering commercial and/or high-end residential projects

  * 

    Recognised electrical qualifications, including:

City & Guilds 18th Edition (BS 7671)

NVQ Level 6 or 7 (desirable)

ECS Black Card (Contracts Manager level preferred)

  * 

    Strong technical knowledge of:

LV distribution systems

Lighting and containment

BMS interfaces

  * 

    Excellent leadership, organisational, and communication skills

  * 

    Strong commercial awareness and contract management experience

  * 

    Full UK driving licence
