Anglian Recruitment is currently recruiting for an experienced Electrical Contracts Manager to join an established electrical contractor on an initial 3–4 month temporary basis.
Based from the company's Norwich office, the successful candidate will work alongside the existing management team, assisting with the delivery and management of electrical projects.
This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Electrical Contracts Manager looking for an immediate contract, with the potential to develop into a permanent position depending on performance and future workload.
The Role
As Electrical Contracts Manager, you will take responsibility for the successful delivery of projects, ensuring they are completed safely, commercially and to programme.
Responsibilities will include:
* Managing commercial electrical installation projects from planning through to completion
* Working closely with the existing Contracts/Project Management team
* Programme planning and ensuring site teams have the information required to deliver projects without delay
* Financial monitoring, cost control, forecasting and progress reporting
* Managing procurement of materials and subcontractors
* Managing and coordinating Site Managers, Supervisors, operatives and subcontractors
* Monitoring project progress, budgets, resources and look-ahead programmes
* Ensuring compliance with contract requirements, CDM regulations and company procedures
* Reviewing project risks and implementing appropriate controls
* Overseeing Health, Safety, Environmental and Quality compliance across projects
* Carrying out site inspections and ensuring appropriate H&S documentation is maintained
* Supporting design coordination and ensuring temporary and permanent design requirements are managed effectively
* Ensuring projects are delivered to the required quality, programme and commercial expectations
What We're Looking For
The successful candidate should have:
* Strong experience as an Electrical Contracts Manager or Senior Electrical Project Manager
* Extensive experience managing commercial electrical installation projects
* Strong knowledge of electrical contracting and project delivery
* Experience managing multiple projects, site teams and subcontractors
* Good commercial awareness, including budgets, forecasting, costs and project reporting
* Knowledge of CDM regulations, programme management, risk management and design coordination
* Experience with procurement and subcontractor management
* Strong client-facing and communication skills
* Excellent leadership and people-management ability
* Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel across other proejcts.
* Previous experience of tendering/pre-qualification processes would be advantageous
* Renewables experience would be beneficial but is not essential
Package
* Competitive rate dependent on experience
* Initial 3–4 month temporary agency contract
* Based from Norwich with travel for out of area projects
* Immediate requirement
