Electrical Contracts Manager – Walsall

Location: Walsall

Elitehire Solutions are working with a well-established, medium-sized and growing M&E contractor who are looking to recruit an experienced Electrical Contracts Manager to join their team based in Walsall.

The contractor delivers a range of commercial electrical projects, covering both new-build and refurbishment schemes.

The Role

As Electrical Contracts Manager, you will take overall responsibility for the successful delivery of multiple electrical projects, managing schemes from initial handover through to completion.

Key responsibilities will include:

  * Managing multiple electrical projects simultaneously

  * Overseeing projects from pre-construction through to completion and handover

  * Managing Site Managers, Supervisors, subcontractors and direct labour

  * Monitoring project programmes, budgets and commercial performance

  * Procurement of labour, materials and subcontract packages

  * Attending client, progress and site meetings

  * Liaising with clients, main contractors, consultants and internal teams

  * Ensuring projects are delivered safely, on time and within budget

  * Monitoring quality and ensuring installations meet drawings and specifications

  * Managing variations and assisting with project valuations

  * Identifying and resolving potential programme or commercial issues

  * Maintaining strong client relationships and helping secure repeat business

Requirements

  * Previous experience as an Electrical Contracts Manager

  * Strong electrical contracting / M&E background

  * Experience delivering commercial electrical projects

  * Experience across new-build and refurbishment projects

  * Strong understanding of electrical installations and project delivery

  * Good commercial and contractual awareness

  * Confident managing multiple projects and site teams

  * Excellent client-facing and communication skills

  * Ability to take ownership of projects from start through to final handover
