Job Description
The Role
We’re looking for a skilled Electrical Shift Maintenance Engineer to join a leading maintenance team in Haywards Heath. You’ll carry out planned and reactive maintenance on a range of electrical systems within a large, critical environment, ensuring safety, reliability, and minimal downtime.
12-hour shifts (6am–6pm)
Week 1 | 2-on / 3-off / 2-on
Week 2 | 2-off / 3-on / 2-off
Key Responsibilities
*
Perform PPM and reactive maintenance on lighting, power, UPS, and control systems
*
Diagnose and repair faults quickly and safely
*
Support installations, upgrades, and compliance checks (e.g. emergency lighting, generator testing)
*
Work safely under permit-to-work and isolation procedures
*
Complete all reports, job sheets, and documentation accurately
*
Collaborate with engineers and management to meet SLAs and performance targets
Essential:
*
NVQ Level 2/3 in Electrical Installation, Maintenance, or Engineering
*
17th or 18th Edition Wiring Regulations
*
Experience in commercial or critical environments
*
Strong knowledge of H&S and safe working systems
