Job Description

An opportunity has come available for an Electrical Design Engineer to work for a leading principal contractor on a 6-month rolling contract based out of Southeast London. This role is office based 5 days a week with flexibility when required.

Previous hands-on electrical design experience is a must and around 2 -5 years’ design work experience carrying out detailed electrical LV designs, the designer will be reporting to a Senior Electrical Design Engineer on a project on Heathrow.

Role summary:

The successful candidate will be working with the design team carrying out RIBA Stage 4 Technical Design to renew Central Battery Units / UPSs associated with supporting emergency lighting and telecoms. This will include but not be limited to:

  * Reviewing current record and survey data for use in developing designs

  * Producing the technical design including using Amtech/Trimble for LV Calculations, CMS calculations, Earthing & Bonding, Alarm Monitoring interfaces etc

  * Liaising with our BIM team for 3D modelling and drawing production

  * Developing migration strategies for the designs they have developed
