Job Description

Electrical Design Engineer Are you an experienced Electrical Design Engineer with strong EPLAN skills and a background in power electronics? Do you enjoy taking ownership of projects and developing innovative electrical systems? If so, we would like to hear from you. A global leader in advanced photonics technologies is looking for a Senior Electrical Design Engineer to support the development of next-generation systems used across industries including food and beverage, composites, and industrial processing. This is an excellent opportunity for a senior-level engineer who enjoys both hands-on design work and collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver high-performance solutions. Key Responsibilities * Lead the electrical design of new equipment and systems. * Produce and maintain electrical schematics and documentation using EPLAN. * Design, modify and support electrical and electronic circuits for new product development. * Support the development of next-generation power supply systems. * Liaise with suppliers and subcontractors to ensure technical requirements are met. * Provide technical support for existing products and assist with troubleshooting activities. * Support customers and colleagues with occasional site visits and training activities. We are looking for an engineer with: * A degree (or equivalent qualification) in Electrical or Electronic Engineering. * Experience in electrical design, ideally using EPLAN. * A strong understanding of power electronics. * Experience fault-finding electrical and electronic circuits. * Excellent communication and problem-solving skills. * A collaborative approach and the ability to work independently. * Willingness to travel occasionally to support customers and projects. Desirable Experience * Previous experience working within industrial equipment, automation, power supplies, or special-purpose machinery. * Experience supporting products throughout their lifecycle. * Senior-level engineering experience with the ability to lead electrical design activities.
