Electrical Design Engineer
£40-60k + Pension, Overtime, Training & Development

An Automation and Control Systems specialist, are currently seeking an Electrical Design Engineer to join their growing team. This organisation deliver bespoke machinery and industrial control solutions across a wide range of sectors including Automotive, Aerospace, Food & Beverage, Pharmaceutical, Logistics and Advanced Manufacturing.
Electrical Design Engineer – The Role:
  * Design electrical and control systems for bespoke machinery and industrial automation projects using EPLAN Electric P8
  * Produce complete electrical documentation including schematics, panel layouts, terminal plans, cable schedules, parts lists and manufacturing documentation
  * Develop panel layouts and 3D panel designs using EPLAN Pro Panel where required
  * Specify electrical hardware including control panels, drives, servo systems, safety devices, sensors and associated automation components
  * Design machine safety systems and supporting validation in line with relevant safety standards and Performance Levels
  * Produce Bills of Materials, wire numbering, cable schedules and technical reports
  * Work closely with Project Engineers, Software Engineers, Panel Builders and Commissioning Engineers throughout project delivery
  * Provide technical support during panel manufacture, factory testing, installation, commissioning and customer handover
  * Support customer meetings and attending site visits when required throughout project delivery
  * Ensure all designs comply with relevant electrical, safety and quality standards
Electrical Design Engineer – What We're Looking For:
  * Strong experience using EPLAN Electric P8
  * Variable Speed Drives (VFDs), servo systems or motion control applications
  * Machine safety circuits and machinery safety principles
  * Producing electrical schematics and manufacturing documentation
  * Working collaboratively within multidisciplinary engineering teams
  * Excellent problem-solving skills with a keen eye for detail
  * HND, Degree or equivalent qualification in Electrical Engineering or a related discipline
  * Full UK Driving Licence and willingness to travel to customer sites when required
Desirable experience includes:
  * EPLAN Pro Panel
  * SISTEMA or machine safety validation
  * Siemens, Rockwell or Bosch Rexroth automation platforms
  * Factory Acceptance Testing (FAT), installation or commissioning support
