Are you an experienced Electrical Engineer ready to lead complex projects? Or are you a recent Electrical Engineering graduate looking to kickstart your career in a high-impact environment?
We’re seeking an Electrical Design Engineer to join our expanding team within a respected, multi-disciplinary design & build consultancy. You’ll work on diverse and high-profile projects—including those in secure Government and MOD environments—with a clear route for progression and mentorship.
We welcome candidates with backgrounds in aviation, nuclear, or energy sectors, who bring transferable skills and a strong engineering foundation.
⚡ What You’ll Be Doing:
🔹 Lead and manage electrical design projects from concept to delivery.
🔹 Ensure designs meet relevant British Standards, legislation, and building regulations.
🔹 Conduct technical reviews, calculations, and electrical layouts.
🔹 Attend site visits and oversee project delivery and final sign-off.
🔹 Collaborate with in-house mechanical, structural, CAD, and PM teams.
🔹 Support tender submissions (PQQ/SQ/ITT) and project proposals.
🔹 Mentor Graduate Engineers and contribute to team development.
✅ What We’re Looking For:
* HND/BEng (Hons) in Electrical Engineering.
* 5+ years’ industry experience OR ambitious graduates looking for entry-level roles.
* Strong understanding of AutoCAD, Microsoft Office 365, and NBS Chorus
* Excellent communication, leadership, and technical problem-solving abilities.
* Full UK Driving Licence.
* Ability to obtain (or currently hold) SC security clearance.
🌟 Desirable Skills:
⭐ Chartered status (CEng) – IET or CIBSE.
⭐ Familiarity with Revit, MagiCAD, Amtech, Dialux, BREEAM or DREAM.
⭐ Experience in project management within building services.
⭐ Background in aviation, nuclear, or energy welcomed for transferable technical expertise.
