Are you an Electrical Design Engineer with experience in power generation or electrical systems looking to join a market-leading energy specialist, where you'll work on innovative LV/HV networks, power generation and BESS projects while receiving excellent training and long-term career progression?
This is an opportunity to join a leading international power generation specialist established in 1985. With over 230 employees, the business designs, manufactures, installs and maintains low-carbon energy solutions including CHP, Tri-Generation and battery energy storage systems, helping industrial and public sector clients improve energy efficiency, reduce costs and achieve their sustainability goals.
In this role, you will design and develop LV and HV electrical networks, power generation and distribution systems, as well as DC systems for BESS projects. You'll produce detailed electrical designs and technical documentation, develop LV/HV protection schemes, carry out cable sizing and prepare specifications for switchboards, transformers and other electrical equipment.
Working closely with project teams, clients, DNOs and suppliers, you'll support multi-discipline projects from design through to delivery, ensuring technical information is produced accurately and on time. You'll also carry out site visits to support design development, troubleshooting and as-built updates.
This role would suit an Electrical Design Engineer, Electrical Engineer or similar, looking to join a forward-thinking organisation where you'll work on technically varied energy projects and develop your expertise across power generation and battery storage technologies.
The Role:
Design LV/HV networks, power generation and BESS electrical systems
Produce electrical drawings, specifications and technical documentation
Develop LV/HV protection schemes and complete cable sizing calculations
Specify switchboards, transformers and associated electrical equipment
Liaise with clients, DNOs, suppliers and project teams throughout deliveryThe Person:
HND or above in Electrical Engineering or similar
Experience with power generation, LV/HV systems or electrical distribution
Proficient in AutoCAD
Experience with Trimble / Amtech
