Electrical Design Estimator – Building Services
📍 Location: East Midlands
💼 Employment Type: Permanent, Full-Time
💰 Salary: Up to £80,000 (DOE) + Benefits Package
We are proud to be working in partnership with a highly respected M&E contractor based in the East Midlands, known for delivering high-quality design and build solutions across commercial, industrial, healthcare, and education sectors.
Due to continued growth and a healthy order book, they are now looking to recruit an experienced Electrical Design Estimator to play a pivotal role in their pre-construction and design team.
The Role
As the Electrical Design Estimator, you will be responsible for preparing accurate cost estimates and tender submissions for electrical packages on a variety of building services projects.
This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with both electrical design knowledge and strong commercial awareness, who thrives in a dynamic and collaborative environment.
Key Responsibilities:

Prepare accurate and competitive cost estimates for electrical systems
*
Interpret technical drawings, specifications, and client requirements
*
Liaise with suppliers, subcontractors, and design teams
*
Value engineer and propose cost-effective alternatives
*
Manage tender documentation, RFQs, and client queries
*
Work closely with project managers and directors during tender stages
Requirements:
*
Proven experience as an Electrical Estimator, ideally within an M&E contracting environment
*
Strong technical background in electrical building services design
*
Familiarity with estimation software and Microsoft Office suite
*
Excellent communication, negotiation, and organisational skills
*
Ability to manage multiple tenders and deadlines
