The Electrical Design Manager is responsible for leading the electrical design work on building services projects from start to finish. This includes managing a small team, producing and reviewing designs, and ensuring all work meets industry standards, client requirements, and project deadlines.
Main Duties:

Lead and coordinate the electrical design team.
*
Produce and check designs for lighting, power, fire alarms, security, data, and renewable systems.
*
Ensure all designs meet current regulations and standards.
*
Work closely with clients, architects, engineers, and contractors.
*
Manage project timelines, budgets, and resources.
*
Provide technical support and guidance to team members.
*
Attend meetings and site visits to support the design process.
*
Promote energy-efficient and sustainable design solutions.
Skills & Experience:
*
Experience in electrical design within building services.
*
Good knowledge of design software (AutoCAD, Revit, Amtech) and BIM processes.
*
Strong understanding of regulations and standards (BS 7671, building regs).
*
Good communication and project management skills.
Qualifications:
*
Degree, HNC/HND in Electrical or Building Services Engineering.
*
Professional membership (IET, CIBSE) desirableBefore You Apply
