About the Role
We are currently seeking an experienced Electrical Maintenance Engineer to join an established engineering team on a prestigious static site.
This is an excellent opportunity for a qualified electrical engineer looking to secure a long-term, permanent position with a strong work-life balance, working Monday to Friday.
You will be responsible for delivering planned preventative maintenance (PPM), reactive maintenance and electrical fault finding across a large and varied estate. Working as part of an established facilities engineering team, you will help ensure all electrical systems, plant and building services remain safe, reliable and fully operational.
The role offers a competitive salary of up to £40,000, regular overtime opportunities, excellent benefits and ongoing training and development.
Key Responsibilities
* Carry out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and reactive maintenance across the site.
* Diagnose, fault-find and repair electrical building services and installations.
* Maintain lighting systems, power distribution, emergency lighting and associated electrical equipment.
* Carry out inspection, testing and repairs in accordance with current electrical regulations and site procedures.
* Assist with the maintenance and operation of fire alarm systems, control systems and other critical building services.
* Support the wider engineering team with maintenance of HVAC plant, pumps, motors, BMS controls and associated mechanical and electrical equipment.
* Respond efficiently to breakdowns and reactive maintenance requests, ensuring faults are diagnosed and resolved effectively.
* Complete statutory compliance checks and routine inspections.
* Accurately record completed maintenance activities, faults and repairs using a CAFM system.
* Ensure all works are completed in accordance with health & safety requirements, company procedures and relevant legislation.
* Work closely with colleagues, contractors and the wider facilities management team to maintain high standards across the site.
* Provide a professional and customer-focused service to site stakeholders.
Candidate Requirements
The successful candidate will ideally have:
* NVQ Level 3 / City & Guilds in Electrical Installation, Electrical Engineering or a relevant electrical qualification.
* 18th Edition Wiring Regulations.
* Proven experience working as an Electrical Maintenance Engineer.
* Previous experience within commercial facilities maintenance or a similar building services environment.
* Strong electrical fault-finding and diagnostic experience.
* Experience working with electrical distribution, lighting, emergency lighting and building services.
* A good understanding of statutory compliance and safe working practices.
* The ability to work independently while also contributing effectively as part of a wider engineering team.
* A proactive and professional approach to maintenance and customer service.
