Electrical Engineer
Teesside, North East
Salary: up to £70,000 basic + benefits
Jackson Hogg is delighted to be working with an industrial operator in Teesside, which is building a large scale facility of a new processing plant. You will play a key role in the full operation of this plant and it is a rare opportunity to shape a full site from the ground up.
This is a permanent, full time on site role.
Electrical Engineer Key Responsibilities:

Provide front-end and detailed design input for the plant’s electrical infrastructure.
*
Specify equipment, influence plant layout, and ensure electrical design compliance.
*
Oversee electrical installation activities and manage subcontractor performance.
*
Lead and support FAT/SAT activities and commissioning of electrical systems.
*
Participate in HAZOPs and operational readiness planning.
*
Develop electrical procedures and documentation for safe, effective operation.
*
Ensure safe, reliable HV/LV power availability for continuous 24/7 operations.
Electrical Engineer Key Requirements:
*
Degree in Electrical Engineering or related discipline.
*
Strong background in process, recycling, energy, petrochemical, or heavy industrial environments.
*
Proven experience across electrical design, installation, and commissioning.
*
Working knowledge of hazardous areas, ATEX/CompEx, and HV/LV systems.
*
Experience supporting new-build or major plant upgrade projects.
*
Confident managing contractors and interfacing with mechanical, process, and C&I teams.
*
Knowledge of ISO 9001 / 14001 and continuous improvement methodologies (Lean, Six Sigma).
