Work from homeKey Responsibilities of an Electrical Engineer:
Lead and manage the electrical building services aspects of projects from concept through to completion
Provide technical expertise and guidance to project teams
Ensure adherence to project timelines and budgets
Promote a culture of safety excellence throughout the project lifecycle
Support the development and implementation of health and safety strategies and procedures
Support and review detailed electrical designs for HV/LV distribution, lighting, small power, and life safety systems
Ensure compliance with relevant codes, standards, and regulations
Monitor project budgets and schedules, identifying risks and implementing mitigation strategies
Work closely with the project team to optimise resource allocation and efficiency
Conduct thorough reviews of electrical designs and deliverables
Provide technical oversight to ensure high standards are maintained
Identify, assess, and manage project risks
Develop and implement effective mitigation strategies
Collaborate with stakeholders to understand project requirements
Present technical solutions and recommendations clearly and professionally
Work closely with other engineering disciplines to ensure integrated design solutions
Mentor junior engineers and support their professional development
Propose and implement improvements to engineering processes and methodologiesQualifications/Requirements of an Electrical Engineer:
IOSH / SMSTS
CSCSPreferable but not essential:
ONC/HNC/ NVQ L3/L4 Building Services.
Project Management or Engineering DegreeExperience of an Electrical Engineer:
5+ years of experience in Electrical building services engineering.
Strong understanding of codes, standards, and regulations. HTM knowledge would be beneficial.
Excellent project management and leadership skills.
Proven track record of successfully managing and delivering complex engineering projects.
Strong project management skills, including budgeting, scheduling, and resource allocation.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Effective communication skills, both written and verbal.
