Job Description
Job Title: Electrical Engineer – Testing & Maintenance
Location: Richmond
Hours: Monday–Friday, 8am–6pm (with out-of-hours as needed)
About the Role:
Marble Talent Group are actively seeking an Electrical Engineer to join our client on a permanent basis. You’ll carry out inspection, testing, maintenance, and repair of electrical systems across council buildings. This includes offices, depots, parks, hostels, and public spaces.
Key Duties:
*
Complete periodic inspections and EICR testing in line with BS7671:2022.
*
Deliver planned maintenance, reactive repairs, and remedial works.
*
Work on systems including lighting, power, emergency lighting, UPS, generators, and data cabling.
*
Carry out minor fixes on the spot (e.g. tightening connections, replacing fuses).
*
Keep accurate records using the council’s CAFM system (Concerto).
*
Support emergency call-outs and out-of-hours works when required.
What You’ll Need:
*
Fully qualified electrician with NICEIC, ECS/JIB Gold Card, and 18th Edition (BS7671).
*
Strong testing and fault-finding skills, including thermal imaging.
*
Knowledge of health and safety regulations.
*
Experience working in public or commercial buildings.
Desirable Extras:
*
IPAF licence (for access equipment).
*
Experience with data cabling, EV chargers, and intercom systems.
