Electrical Engineer - Facilities Maintenance
Location: London
Salary: £40,000 - £45,000 per annum (depending on experience)
Hours: Monday to Friday, 08:00 - 17:00
Contract Type: Permanent
Overview:
We are currently recruiting for a skilled and experienced Electrical Engineer to join a leading facilities management provider, delivering high-quality planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and reactive maintenance across a portfolio of commercial sites in London.
This is a fantastic opportunity for a hands-on, proactive individual with a strong background in building services and facilities maintenance.
Key Responsibilities:
Carry out scheduled PPMs in line with service level agreements
Respond promptly to reactive maintenance tasks including lighting, power, distribution, and emergency systems
Diagnose and repair electrical faults in a timely and efficient manner
Complete reports, documentation, and compliance logs accurately
Liaise with site staff and external contractors to ensure minimal disruption to business operations
Ensure compliance with H&S regulations and company procedures
Requirements:
City & Guilds or NVQ Level 3 in Electrical Installation
18th Edition Wiring Regulations (essential)
City & Guilds 2391-52 or equivalent (desirable)
Proven experience working in a facilities/building services environment
Good knowledge of PPM schedules and reactive maintenance protocols
Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
Full UK driving licence (if mobile role)
