Job Title: Electrical Maintenance Engineer
Location: 2 High Street, Nailsea, Bristol BS48 1BS
Work Type: Static Site (Call-out rota not expected; pending confirmation)
Salary: £42,000 per annum
About the Role
We are seeking a skilled and proactive Electrical Maintenance Engineer to support operations at our Nailsea site under the Baker Hughes contract. This static role focuses on maintaining and optimizing electrical systems and equipment to ensure safety, reliability, and compliance with industry standards.
Key Responsibilities
Perform scheduled preventive and corrective maintenance on electrical systems and machinery
Diagnose and repair faults in motors, control panels, lighting systems, PLCs, and power distribution networks
Conduct inspections and testing to ensure safety, functionality, and regulatory compliance
Collaborate with operations teams to reduce downtime and improve equipment performance
Maintain accurate service records, maintenance logs, and compliance documentation
Recommend system upgrades and energy-efficient solutions
Ensure all work adheres to health & safety regulations and electrical codes
Assist with installation and commissioning of new equipment
Provide emergency support for electrical failures (if required)
Qualifications & Experience
Degree or diploma in Electrical Engineering or a related discipline
Minimum 3 years' experience in electrical maintenance within industrial, manufacturing, or commercial settings
Strong knowledge of electrical systems, schematics, wiring diagrams, and diagnostic tools
Experience with CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management Systems) is a plus
Excellent troubleshooting skills and attention to detail
Effective communication and teamwork abilities
Relevant certifications (e.g., Electrical License, OSHA or equivalent safety training) are desirable
