We are looking for a skilled and motivated Electrical Engineer to join our team, supporting ISS’s vision of becoming the world’s greatest service organisation by delivering consistent, world-class building maintenance.
In this role, you will provide electrical and building services maintenance across a portfolio of client properties, ensuring reliability, safety, and performance of critical systems.
Job Description
The Electrical Engineer will undertake a wide range of activities, from scheduled PPM and reactive repairs to installation, inspection, and compliance monitoring.
With a strong electrical bias, you will ensure all work meets statutory regulations and client requirements, while consistently delivering excellent customer service and maintaining the highest Health & Safety standards.
Key Responsibilities
* Carry out scheduled electrical PPM and reactive tasks raised via the helpdesk, ensuring timely completion and exceeding customer expectations.
* Undertake building services maintenance across electrical, HVAC, mechanical, and fabric systems.
* Provide call-out response as part of a rota, delivering effective on-site support.
* Oversee contractor activity, ensuring compliance with permits to work and company standards.
* Verify electrical equipment performance against specification, maintaining high operational standards.
* Evaluate equipment performance and ensure all servicing and maintenance is delivered to contract requirements.
* Maintain proactive client communication, escalating concerns where appropriate.
* Accurately complete records, documentation, and administration on time.
* Ensure full compliance with Health & Safety procedures, including risk assessments and COSHH.
Professional and Personal Competencies/Qualifications
Qualifications:
* City & Guilds 2365, 2357 Level 3 and NVQ 2356 AM2, OR
* City & Guilds 2330 Level 3 in Electrical Installation and NVQ 2356 AM2, OR
* City & Guilds 236/2360 Electrical Installations Parts 1 & 2.
* City & Guilds 18th Edition IEE Wiring Regulations (BS:7671:2018), preferably with A2 Amendment.
Experience & Skills:
* Significant experience in electrical building services maintenance, including fault finding, repairs, installation, and testing.
* Proven track record in both reactive and planned maintenance within commercial FM/building services.
* Strong knowledge of Health & Safety procedures, including risk assessments and method statements.
* Excellent communication and customer service skills.
* Ability to work independently and as part of a team, delivering to high professional standards.
