Electrical Engineer – Plymouth
Salary: £66,000 – £78,000 + up to 16% bonus + £7,000 relocation bonus + pension (5% rising to 10%)

I am currently representing a leading power generation site in Plymouth who are looking for an experienced Electrical Engineer to join their Engineering department. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with strong HV and LV expertise to play a key role in ensuring the safety, reliability, and long-term integrity of critical electrical systems.
The Role
Reporting into the Engineering Manager, the successful candidate will:
Oversee the long-term management and compliance of HV and LV electrical systems.
Lead planning and execution of electrical inspections during outages.
Ensure compliance with technical procedures and external legislation.
Identify, specify, and manage electrical contracts, including contractor oversight.
Contribute to and manage elements of a rolling 5-year business plan for electrical infrastructure.
Provide technical expertise and guidance to Engineering and Maintenance teams.
What We’re Looking For
Proven experience with HV and LV electrical systems, including transmission, distribution, and protection.
Strong knowledge of DSEAR management.
A degree (or HNC/HND with significant experience) in Electrical Engineering.
Ideally membership of a relevant professional institution (or working towards it).
A collaborative mindset, strong interpersonal skills, and the ability to work under pressure.
High motivation and the ability to actively contribute to a positive safety culture.
What’s on Offer
