Astute's Power Team is partnered with a market-leading operator of Combined Cycle Gast Turbine (CCGT) Power Stations, to recruit for an Electrical Engineer to join their CCGT Combined Heat and Power Station in Immingham. This is one of Europe's largest and most efficient CHP plants.
The vital Electrical Engineer role comes with a basic salary of £57,000 - £60,000 + up to 30% bonus + overtime + LTIP + Private Medical + other excellent benefits.

Responsibilities and duties
Reporting to the Electrical Engineering Group Lead, you will be responsible for:
Provide technical support for electrical systems at the facility
Actively manage technical risks for electrical assets across multiple sites, including conducting Plant Status Reviews, addressing obsolescence and strategic spare parts, ensuring compliance with Engineering Standards and Technical Guidance Documents, and liaising with external organisations such as HSE and NESO.
Plan, execute, and oversee Electrical Engineering projects.
Deliver technical expertise to shape maintenance strategies, offering engineering support primarily for the site and contributing to activities across the wider fleet.
Coordinate and support maintenance work as needed to ensure continuous plant operation.
Contribute to the Electrical Engineering aspects of major capital project development.
Work towards achieving demanding targets in commercial performance, safety, environmental standards, quality, and personal development.
Support assigned operational processes and projects to meet defined performance goals.
Professional qualifications
We are looking for someone with the following:
A minimum qualification of HNC Level and above is required in a relevant engineering discipline such as Electrical/Electronic Engineering
An IOSH health and safety qualification is required as a minimum for this role
A UK Driving Licence as travel to other sites will be required occasionally
Personal skills, prior experience and knowledge
The Electrical Engineer role would suit someone who has:
Prior experience working in an industrial engineering environment such as Power Stations (CCGT, Coal, EfW, Biomass, etc), Paper Mills, Steelworks, Refineries, etc
Experience in budget and contract management
Knowledge of relevant legislation such as Health and Safety and Environmental
Experience working with High Voltage systems
Prior experience working on projects/plant upgrades would be advantageous
