We're looking for an experienced Electrical Engineer ⚡ to join a leading Facilities Management company supporting a major manufacturing site in Long Sutton. This is an excellent opportunity to work within a fast-paced FMCG production environment 🏭, ensuring critical electrical systems and plant equipment are maintained to the highest standards.
Working as part of a multi-skilled engineering team 👷♂️👷♀️, you will play a key role in maximising plant uptime, reducing downtime, and supporting continuous production operations.
🔧 What you'll be doing:
✔️ Carrying out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and reactive maintenance across electrical systems and building services equipment ⚡🔧
✔️ Diagnosing and rectifying electrical faults to minimise disruption to production 🛠️
✔️ Performing electrical testing, inspection, repairs, and fault finding activities 📋
✔️ Responding quickly to breakdowns and implementing effective corrective actions 🚨
✔️ Supporting continuous improvement initiatives to enhance reliability and plant performance 📈
✔️ Working closely with the wider engineering team to maximise equipment availability 👷♂️🤝👷♀️
✔️ Maintaining safe systems of work and ensuring full compliance with Health & Safety procedures 🦺
✔️ Keeping accurate maintenance records and completing documentation as required 💻
✔️ Liaising effectively with colleagues and stakeholders to ensure service excellence 🤝
✔️ Supporting the smooth operation of a busy manufacturing facility 🏭
👷 What we're looking for:
⭐ Essential:
⚡ Proven experience as an Electrical Engineer within Facilities Management, manufacturing, industrial, or production environments
⚡ Strong electrical fault-finding and diagnostic skills 🔧
⚡ Good understanding of electrical systems, controls, and maintenance practices
⚡ Experience delivering both planned and reactive maintenance activities 📋
⚡ Ability to work independently and as part of a multi-skilled engineering team 👷
⚡ Strong commitment to Health & Safety and statutory compliance 🦺
⚡ Excellent communication and problem-solving skills 🤝
⭐ Desirable:
🏭 Experience within FMCG, food production, or manufacturing environments
📈 Involvement in continuous improvement initiatives
🔧 Multi-skilled maintenance experience
🎓 City & Guilds, NVQ Level 3, 18th Edition, or equivalent electrical qualifications
