Electrical Engineer - Production
Location: Staffordshire, West Midlands
Salary: £35,000 - £42,000 per annum
Hours: Mon–Thurs: 08:00–15:15, Fri: 08:00–12:00
We’re looking for an Electrical Engineer to join a growing engineering team.
You will be responsible for delivering production engineering information, electrical designs, and supporting the NPI projects.
Responsibilities:
* Delivering electrical designs and production engineering information to support manufacturing.
* Leading and supporting new product introduction (NPI) from concept through to production.
* Improving processes through SQCDP measures and lean methodologies (5S, Kaizen).
* Mentoring apprentices and team members, fostering a culture of accountability and excellence.
* Creating accurate BOMs, item cards, and engineering documentation.
* Ensuring compliance with electrical and safety standards (UL508a, EN60204, LVD, EMC).
* Driving root cause analysis and corrective actions (e.g. 8D, CAR processes).
* Collaborating with cross-functional teams to improve productivity, reduce waste, and meet delivery targets.
Requirements:
* Post-qualification experience in electrical panel design/production engineering
* HNC/NVQ or equivalent in Electrical or Electronic Engineering or a related discipline is highly desirable.
* Proficient in CAD and electrical design tools
* Experience supporting or managing projects in a fast-paced manufacturing environmentBefore You Apply
