Your new company A leading organisation in the energy sector is seeking an experienced Electrical Engineering Technician to join their team in the North of Scotland. Your new role As an Electrical EngineeringTechnician, you will be responsible for delivering both reactive andplanned maintenance across a range of operational assets and sitefacilities. While the role is primarily electrically biased, it will alsoinvolve some mechanical tasks. You will play a key role in fault diagnosis,repairs, and supporting site upgrades and improvement projects. You will also be involved inmanaging and updating the Computerised Maintenance Management System(CMMS), ensuring all maintenance activities are accurately recorded andcompleted to a high standard. Keyresponsibilities Perform electrical maintenance, inspections, repairs, and minor installations. Review and update site electrical drawings and documentation. Carry out isolations and fault-finding on electrical systems and support mechanical troubleshooting where possible. Maintain accurate records of all engineering and maintenance activities. Manage electrical tasks within the CMMS, including both in-house and contracted works. Oversee annual electrical inspections, including scope development, contractor selection, and on-site coordination. Support the Engineering Manager with electrical projects, upgrades, and change management processes. Supervise electrical contractors on-site, ensuring compliance with safety standards and company procedures. Contribute to HSE intervention plans related to EC&I as required.What you'll need to succeed Recognised Electrical Engineering qualification or time-served apprenticeship. Minimum of 2 years' experience in an industrial environment, ideally within Oil & Gas or process industries. NVQ Level 3 (or equivalent) in Electrical/Electronic Engineering. CompEx Electrical (Ex01-Ex04) certification. 17th Edition Wiring Regulations (minimum). Membership of a recognised professional body is desirable.
