Electrical Estimator

Location: Plymouth (Office-based with 1 day remote working)
Salary: £45,000 – £55,000 + Electric Company Car + Bonus
Type: Permanent, Full-Time

About the Company: We are working with a growing and forward-thinking renewable energy contractor specialising in commercial electrical installations, solar PV (SV), battery energy storage systems (BESS), and EV infrastructure.

With a strong pipeline of projects across the commercial and industrial sectors, they are now looking to appoint an experienced Electrical Estimator to support continued growth.

Key Responsibilities

  * Prepare detailed and accurate cost estimates for renewable energy projects

  * Price commercial solar PV, BESS, and EV infrastructure projects

  * Assess both electrical and civil scopes of work

  * Analyse drawings, specifications, and tender documentation

  * Liaise with suppliers and subcontractors to obtain competitive pricing

  * Work closely with project and delivery teams to ensure smooth handover

  * Identify risks, opportunities, and cost-saving solutions

  * Support tender submissions and bid proposals

Requirements & Experience

  * Proven experience as an Electrical Estimator within renewables or commercial electrical projects

  * Strong experience pricing solar PV, BESS, and EV infrastructure projects

  * Understanding of both electrical and civils packages

  * Full UK driving licence (maximum 6 points)

  * Strong attention to detail and commercial awareness

  * Ability to work both independently and as part of a team

Package & Benefits

  * Salary £45,000 – £55,000 (DOE)

  * Electric company car (Tesla or VW ID.7 after probation)
