Job Description

Introduction: Our client, a well-established electrical contractor, is looking for an experienced Electrical Estimator to join their growing team. This is an excellent opportunity for an ambitious individual with a strong background in estimating within the electrical contracting, building services, or M&E sectors. Key Responsibilities: * Prepare accurate and detailed electrical estimates, quotations, and cost plans for a range of commercial, industrial, and residential projects. * Review tender documents, specifications, and drawings to assess project requirements. * Carry out take-offs from electrical drawings and prepare material, labour, and subcontractor costs. * Liaise with clients, suppliers, and subcontractors to ensure competitive and accurate pricing. * Work closely with the pre-construction and project delivery teams to hand over successful tenders. * Identify cost-saving opportunities, value engineering options, and risk factors. * Manage multiple tenders simultaneously, ensuring all deadlines are met. * Keep up to date with industry standards, regulations, and market prices. Key Requirements: * Proven experience as an Electrical Estimator within the electrical contracting, building services, or M&E industry. * Strong technical knowledge of electrical installations, distribution, lighting, containment, fire alarms, security systems, and general building services. * Ability to read and interpret electrical drawings and specifications. * Excellent numerical, analytical, and problem-solving skills. * Strong communication and negotiation skills with the ability to build relationships with clients and suppliers. * Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word) and estimating software (such as Trimble, Amtech, or similar)
